Greetings Louisburg UMC,
I hope that you are having a great week!
Hope you are having a great weekend!  I'm excited to go to the Electric Light Band Show tonight at 7pm at the Highschool Stadium!  Many of our youth and children will be preforming in this great free community event!
The annual Coats for Folks collection is off to a SLOW start.  Will you help out by finding the Coats for Folks Facebook posts and sharing them?  We are really hoping to get coats to kids BEFORE it gets super cold this year. All coat donations can be dropped in the bin in front of the church.
The Wednesday Fellowship Meal we added is really turning into a great thing!  After we all eat a light dinnr together, adults can stay for a class with me in Fellowship Hall.  We just finished studying some parts of the Bible.  Next week we will begin a new session...come join us Wednesday at 5:30 for the meal or 6:00 for the class.  By the way, you don't have to eat dinner with us first if it conflicts with your schedule!  M&M & Middle School Youth Group eat at the same time and then move on to their own activities.  High School Youth Group comes later in the evening.
We had another great dinner on Thursday.  Many people can enjoyed a Spaghetti Dinner hosted by the Events Team.  The Better Together Capital Campaign is cruising right along.  If you haven't turned in your pledge card I encourage you to bring it this Sunday.
Coming up on Sunday, we are continuing our sermon series about the Bible. On Sunday, we will look at the word apocalypse. When we hear this word, it stirs images of the end of the world, or other anxiety producing thoughts. In worship, we will look at this word in a broader context. Sometimes just looking at the variety of meanings of a word can help us see a bigger picture in which God is acting. Such is the case with the word apocalypse. Looking forward to seeing you this Sunday at 8:30 or 10:30 or online!

Blessings,

Rev. Bradley Wheeler
