Saturday Edition of the LUMC News

 

This email is in regards to the two upcoming youth mission trips (& a special incoming 4th/5th/6th grade mission trip also!) but I'm sending it to everyone because we do need adults to attend!  Youth, kids, and adults --please sign up with the following links:

 

The High School mission trip (incoming freshman through recently graduated & adult chaperones). We are going to Valley, Nebraska (just outside Omaha) July 5-9. We will leave in the afternoon of July 5 and return either Thursday night July 8 or Friday, July 9.  We are also trying to get a few rental cars. Does anyone have connections or points to help us with this? Very expensive! We have a limit on the number of people that can go with us so be sure to register ASAP!

 

The Middle School mission trip (incoming 7th & 8th grades & adult chaperones) is local this year. We will be serving at The Hub in Kansas City, KS. We are working Monday - Wednesday, June 28-30 during the day time and will return home each afternoon. We will need a number of adults to go with us.

 

Incoming 4th, 5th, & 6th grade kids & adults will have their own special 1-day mission trip on Monday, June 28 also at The Hub! The Hub has age appropriate service opportunities for this age group.  Marilou & Shawna are two of the chaperones for this group be we need quite a few more adults to attend with this group.  This group will be working separately of the middle school mission team.

 

We will have a final mission trip meeting Wednesday night, June 23 at 6:00 pm (anyone attending any of the trips is highly encouraged to attend). The first all church town-hall meeting is right after at 6:30 if you would like to attend both meetings!
